Machine particularly suitable for heat setting needle-punched non-woven fabrics.

The heat setting machine mainly consists of two Ø800 mm conveyor cylinders with special anti-shrinkage gaskets. Above the cylinders are infrared radiant panels that treat the material on both sides, with adjustable intensity depending on the materials to be treated.

The heating elements are arranged so that there are no gaps in the radiation between them. Between the first and second cylinders, the tension of the material being treated can be adjusted as desired to prevent shrinkage across the width.

After the second cylinder, the calendering unit begins. The calender cylinders have a diameter of 600 mm and are thermoregulated by diathermic oil with an internal spiral or equivalent systems.

The calender cylinders can be cross-axed to prevent any skewing with special servo control. The calender cylinders have a stop that allows calendering even at thickness; the thickening is servo-controlled.

In the event of a lack of tension or in an emergency, the caps automatically open and the lower calender cylinder lowers, thus preventing the material being treated from burning.
